Best way to get gil in ffxiv

But I loathe crafting and my gathering skills are pretty low, not to mention I don't know what stuff sells well from gathering. So I have battlecraft. And I've been doing a lot of palace of the dead runs, those materias sell pretty well plus I can level my junk as a bonus. I can't help but think there's a faster way though.

I mean I'll grind all day ALL day so I can put in the time, just not sure what's the most efficient way to do it. Get your Desynth level up to around level 70, just desynth cheap npc stuff, takes about mins.

Go to the novelty Goods NPC in Uldah, just north of the main aethryte, near the event minion NPC. Desynth the Gaiters, and hope for Fieldcraft Demimateria III's. Repeat the process of buying Gaiters till you feel the profits are high. RNG can screw you over, but at other times you can get huge profits if lucky. Also, as your leatherworker desynth skill improves, check the Market Board for Kirimu gear, partial search Kirimu, and check every single item listed.

You are looking to obtain Kirimu Leather and BattleCraft Demimateria III's here. BattleCraft Demimateria III's sell for k each also! Also pay attention to what you can desynth, so ilvl gear such as Gyrophskin gear can be converted to BC III's, gyrophskin gear can sell for as low as k each!

If its end craft result is cheap, and the mats aren't Also, check for Hive Forewings, buy them if they are cheap. And add the expanse baleens to your wish list, hope somebody lists them stupidly low, often you may see 4m as the current price and some guy lists for 40k lol! That's 4m return if resold! Some housing items might be cheaper now due to lower demand, than they will be in 3. And be aware on patch release day, ive seen items worth g each suddenly be in demand and sell for 50k a pop, so either rlog out near a MB and do as much research from patch notes and datamining as you can before the game goes live, if suddenly you realise crafters need a mat which we already have, that's bene unused and oer stocked for months, its going to be cheap, and about to get very pricey very quickly!

Do all this, you can make m in a couple of weeks with little to no effort, minus repetition, believe it or not you may become bored of earning gil this way, I advice you look into crafting, endgame crafts are pretty fun and highly rewarding!

That sounds pretty cool. I think I'll try that out. Things you listed are cheaper on my server Balmung of course but still go for great money. And I already have a level 15 leatherworker so I'll go for it.

Tank you very much. The best way to gain lots of gil through battle is selling runs of high level content. However this isn't possible for most people.

FFXIV Botanist Leveling Guide (Updated 50 to 60) – FFXIV Guild

If you have a solid group of people, you can do runs of SCoB and FCoB to get aetherstones which generally sell pretty well.

Out of curiosity is there anything "against ToS" involved with selling clears of stuff? Like is it an OK practice e. So long as that man never tells us where the money comes from it's all Kosher. My group's had to refund and blacklist mouthy wankers who flaunt that they know a local chinese fellow on several occasions.

Oh, so you're saying I should buy clears, and then tell everyone after we've cleared that I bought the money from RMT so they refund me? Yeah but then they have to refund him the gil or risk being banned for owning gil that came from rmt. Selling content isn't specifically against the ToS.

RMT is often used to purchase runs. So it's a grey area.

To my knowledge the devs have never said that content mercing is against tree of savior, whereas they've said and expressed that house selling in-game is. I knew the part about RMT, and "heard" it was a don't ask don't tell sort of thing that if the group doesn't know where the money came from, they're not at fault. And thanks, the "explicitly said" thing is what I was wondering, I used housing since it seemed the most relevant example.

If you have bored gatherer friends hitching a ride into Aquapolis, even for just the gil drops, is quite nice. Also, a great financial investment is to play tank for roulettes since the adventurer in need gil adds up. Min iLv synced coil will also get you a lot of music scrolls as well as some nice base materials that crafters might buy, if you can get a competent team of people.

It's not particularly difficult. Don't know if it's still true, but used to be that if you had a group going that expected people to bring alone their own maps, buying some off the MB was still a worthwhile investment. Dragonskins in Behemoth are like only 30k now, pretty much just the gil drops alone make that back up.

Sometimes you can even get Garuda, Titan or Ifrit in Leveling Roulette, so you end up getting all the rewards for a fraction of the effort.

Aquapolis can reward rare minions and mats - generally if you do a ton you'll average out more gil than you use to buy the maps. Farm GC seals with Expert Roulettes and stuff and buy items like Aqueous Whetstone and Coke. Whetstone is literally 4k per seals on my server. You can also buy the relic items. It's not hard to make gil if you find ways to do it.

FFXIV ARR: Guide for how to get a Chocobo in a Realm Reborn! – FFXIV Guild

For just battle classes, the best I've found is selling materia I get from beast tribe quests and according to my FC at least, haven't actually tried to sell them myself yet farming Ramuh for Large Levin Orbs. But in the end, nothing you ever do will come anywhere NEAR close to what you could make as a gatherer or crafter.

For instance, last I heard people talking about it the Large Levin Orbs were going for about kk a piece. But the glamour weapons you can craft them into sell for like 2mil-3mil.

So with just one craft you can make up to 4x as much as just selling stuff raw. I wanted to ask for various peoples' experiences though, rather than follow one person's guide which I'm sure is great, I just wanted many opinions. Do the ARR beast tribe quests everyday. You also get currency that you can use to get items for your anima weapon as a bonus. Spend those Grand Company Seals! With the latest patch you can buy items for the anima weapon quest kingscake, adamanite fresca etc.

Make sure you do all your roulettes everyday. Even better if you can tank because more often than not you'll get a bonus to Gil and seals. Ask your FC if you have one. We have about 10,,gil in our FC chest that rarely ever gets used, so often people can take some as long as they pay it back a little everyday or volunteer for FC duties instead.

Check your marketboard for what's selling well and send your retainers on hunting ventures to gather it. This way you can get decent selling items without using gathering classes whilst you're off doing other things. You should also be aware of how the tax system works for selling on different markets. Also consider the politics of playing the market, which means not undercutting others etc doing so will reduce the amount of Gil all players make, no matter how appealing your price seems.

On my server, eso can be converted into k worth of crafting mats. I wasn't paying attention to it and I was capped for awhile. Changes to tomes soon though. If you have all day ALL day then just level a gatherer. It's really, really fast with Leves and then you can work yourself easily up from there. You should be able to find people that can craft some of the lower end gatherer gears, mats don't cost much for those anymore.

Get that and start getting scrips, upgrading your gatherer by yourself. And then get the important items for crafters. It's easy, i'm just lazy and sell weekly materias for my income.

Would you say they're all equal? Or is one better than the other?

I have a level 30 miner but it's so damn mind numbing. I think I could do it if it's quite rewarding though. I've been leveling fishing a bit lately though and that's pretty passive and calming, I think i'd be okay with that. I've not tried botany at all though. Botany and Mining are basically same thing different paint. They're also where most of the money in gathering is at. There's some mats that are gotten from fishing, but the RNG makes consistent moneymaking from fishing hard.

Miner and Botanist, both practically the same, just different items. Again, miner is done really quickly with leves, i leveled mine in less than a week to 50 and in like two days to Fisher only works for food i think, which is used for raids.

But you would have to look deeper into that, no clue about that. But as a Miner you can pretty much farm the whole day, timed though, so every 20 or so minutes you go to a specific node in a different area and get an item from there, then move to the next and wait.

It's a side activity and can bring you pretty much all the money you could ever need. Add that to the weekly materia and you're absolutely good to go. The more you mine the more money you'll have. If you can bring yourself to crafters you can use the raw materials, craft some basic material out of them and up your gain even more.

Not sure about the numbers on your profit since i haven't done it in a while. For the past week I grind T4s for my tank achievements, I made k to 1. New patches always have new ways of making easy money.

Look at new buyable things from either quests or tomes and you'll generally make a few million. You might wonder why there is so much gil floating around the marketboard with no reliable way to generate it from normal play, but don't think about that. Best thing is to wait until a patch day and speculate on the right thing or desynth the right thing and make millions and millions of gil. Battle ones at 60 can get raw mats like chimera mane and ampithere skin.

May not sell super high, but its free income, and some of it is harder to get than others. Yak Milk is pretty decent usually, and you can also buy stuff from the Vath to resell on the market.

I am currently leveling my retainers. I'm sad to say but I've very much neglected them in the past. But hey, they'll be 60 eventually. What ventures should i send them on though?

Dragonskin maps are about 30k on my server a lot of times. And I would do Aquapolis but I just don't have anyone to run it with, sadly. Trading tomes and seals for crafting mats.

You'll have to do some market research on your server for which ones have the best price and are in demand. You can also play the markets a bit if you have some gil to start with invest to buy in demand items out and sell them for a much higher price. One other thing I haven't seen mentioned is that you don't only need to consider your income, also consider your expenses. Teleports are expensive, especially if you use them recklessly.

Teleporting is not an unavoidable expense, it's a time-saver that you pay for. Not everyone knows that teleport prices are based on how far away the zone you're currently in is from the zone you're trying to get to.

Even zoning one zone closer to your destination can save you a small, but still significant, amount of money. Also really think about how you set up your home point, free teleport point, and favored aetherytes to minimize teleport spending.

Ask your FC leader to use the reduced teleport prices buff. Also, any time you're making a large purchase, pay attention to where the seller is. You can save a substantial amount of money in taxes just by going to that city and buying it on that market board. Or better yet, make a concerted effort to ask for help from crafters and gatherers in your FC to minimize market board purchases.

By paying attention to my expenses, I can slowly grow my fortune with practically no active effort.

This amplifies the effects of any active efforts I make to earn gil. I literally said I'm willing to do anything but craft. But somehow being willing to do literally anything with a battle class, being willing to gather, or being willing to play the MB is lazy?
